So I had my first driving lesson yesterday and it went well! I'd never driven a car at all before, and I was surprised to find it enjoyable? It was my first time so I was a bit nervous and my instructor was controlling most things, but I finally feel like I understand people who like driving, if that makes sense. I'm excited to continue taking lessons!

On the other hand, work has been a bit crazy this week, but my contract will be over in 2 weeks, so... I'm trying to calm down and just try to get everything done. Even if some people are making it harder for me. It's been a good experience and I'm grateful and proud of my work, but I can't wait to get a bit of a break from this lol.

And now I'm off to study some German because I've got some exams coming up. Nothing too serious, but I'd like to feel more or less confident with my German level. First one's on 14 May so I still have some time to revise. Hope everyone's having a good day!

I just remember it happening when I was learning to drive. It was so much fun at first, then I felt like I was getting worse and not progressing. But you're not me of course so you may not experience this. I found getting the right driving instructor made all the difference.

Yes in the end. I was 19, I was so naive. I got the Yellow Pages (in the days we had a big physical book of companies) and chose the first driving instructor beginning with A. He was so bossy and full of himself, I hated him. Then a friend at work recommended her instructor, Reg. As in 'car REGistration.' lol. He was a lovely fatherly old man and much nicer.

all of this has happened before

all of this will happen again
