It's day 2 and I'm doing the next two questions from the questionnaire below.

3. A pairing you wish you shipped, but just can't.

This one's making me think! I'll elaborate a bit on this answer. One of my fave DS9 characters is Quark. I've made plenty of fanart, and read a lot of fics. My issue is... I don't ship Quark/Odo anymore, and it's, of course, the main pairing for Quark. Of course they always had a wonderful dynamic, always bickering and being obsessed with each other. But I ended up really disliking where Odo went as a character, and that affected how I felt about this ship, too. What I didn't like was how he acted during the Dominion's occupation of DS9 and his romantic relationship with Kira. Admittedly, these might be weird reasons not to ship them anymore, but I just can't help it. I'll read anything else with Quark: Quark/Brunt, Quark/Julian, Quark/Worf, Quark/Sisko, Quark/Natima, Quark/Grilka, Quark/Pel... But I really don't read Quark/Odo, and I wish I shipped them enough to do so because those are most of the fics for Quark.

Other ships could come to mind if I kept thinking, but I feel like my answers would always be ships that have a very active fandom, or one that seems fun to be a part of.

4. What was the first thing you ever contributed to a fandom?

The earliest things I can find online right now are a Spanish language Johnlock fic and this post with Audrey Hepburn icons, both from 2011. Before that I was into the Beatles and posted some Photoshop edits, but that was on an old Spanish site that no longer exists, so you'll have to trust me.

Thanks for leaving a comment! I haven't heard the term demifiction before, can you explain it?

Demifiction is nonfiction type writing set in a fictional place (or fictionalized version of a real place). Newspaper articles, encyclopedia excerpts, descriptions of plants or animals, language references, and so on. Demi- as in half or partial, something that is between fiction and nonfiction. Here are a couple of examples:

Demifiction: "Anti-Soup Agitators Open the Sealed Evil in a Can"

Demifiction: "Maldivian Geography: Island Treasure Hunt"

Ohh, I see! I'm pretty sure I've seen examples before, but I didn't know this type of writing had a name. It's so cool though, I should try writing some one day. Thank you!
